“When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.”   – Fred Rogers

Most people can manage their emotions to a certain point. But we can all get overwhelmed at times, especially during times of transition, loss, and crisis.
Sometimes we feel fine for a long time and then things start to creep up on us. Difficulties sleeping, excessive thinking or worrying, procrastination or a loss of motivation, and a decreased interest in socialising or seeing family are a few of the things we might start to notice before we realise we need some help. Sometimes it’s our friends, partners, or colleagues that notice before we do.
It’s human nature to need connection to others for support from time to time, and when our needs outweigh what our friends and family can provide, counselling is a healthy option.
We offer a non-judgemental, attentive ear to your story. We work at your pace, often slowing things down to speed things up. When and if you’re ready, we work with you to process your experiences, reflect on your strengths, and come up with strategies for emotion-regulation, communication, relationship problems, and a number of other struggles you might be facing. Our goal is to support you to achieve YOUR goals.
